Iranian popular actor to play the role of Rumi

Iranian actor Parsa Pirouzfar has been selected to play the role of well-known poet Rumi in a film co-produced by Iran and Turkey.

Directed by Hassan Fathi, the film ‘Fascinated by Love’ focuses on a part of the life of Rumi and his spiritual leader, Shams Tabrizi in the Turkish city of Konya.

Fathi and Farhad Tohidi wrote the screenplay of the very movie.

The film has been the center of attention and media have been speculating about its details and cast. Now that the role of Rumi is given to Pirouzfar, the pre-production stage is close to ending.

Prominent actor Shahab Hosseini will play the role of Shams Tabrizi.

The crew of the ‘Fascinated by Love’ includes a number of Turkish and Iranian cineastes.
